Michael Manderville is a Professional Dietitian with a deep interest in how nutrition impacts health, performance, and disease. Originally from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Michael grew up playing hockey through the winter and golfing nearly every day in the summer. Though now, having lived in Halifax for over 10 years, he considers himself a Haligonian and has since added surfing to his sport repertoire.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Acadia University and more recently graduated with distinction from Mount Saint Vincent University with a bachelor of Applied Human Nutrition with Dietetics. Michael is currently halfway through completing a Master of Applied Human Nutrition.

Through his education, he learned the value and importance of meeting his clients exactly where they are and working together to solve problems and create realistic goals. Michael has a keen interest in the psychology of behavior change and how this influences our nutrition choices. Michael strongly believes that our health and performance is reflective of our daily habits. By working to improve our daily habits, we can move closer to our goals each day. It can be a daunting task to try to improve on your own, that is why Michael believes that health and performance are team sports.

When not working, Michael is either reading about philosophy, writing, or walking the trails of Point Pleasant Park with his wife Malia, and his Nova Scotia Duck Toller, Betty.
